Almond Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies

Hell yeah. Fixed up this recipe a little. Cookies don't spread as much as the original, plus the almond meal gives 'em more nuttiness. Came out chewy and good. XD

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter or baking sticks (not margarine)
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups flour
1/4 cup almond meal (ground almonds)
1/2 teaspoon salt (or salt substitute)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
3/4 cup sliced or slivered almonds

Directions
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars together. Beat in egg and vanilla on medium speed.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, almond meal, salt and baking soda. Gradually add this dry mix to the creamed mixture at low speed or by hand. Stir in chocolate chips and almonds.

Roll spoonfuls of dough into 1-in. balls. Place 2 in. apart on greased baking sheets. Bake at 375°F for 9-11 minutes or until edges are firm and lightly browned.
